Waves crash against our legs as you hold me in the water

The sky is a deep orange

And we watch the sun as it kisses us goodbye

The water licks at my calfs as we walk back to shore

You look at me

Your big brown eyes full of wonder and excitement

Throwing me over your shoulder you begin to spin

My arms grip your torso tight as my legs fly

We fall into the sand, tangled in each other

You look at me with those same eyes

Speaking unspoken words

Your eyes crinkle, dance and widen as you watch me
